  9. A little program to check you're systemclock.
  10. It will make a backup of you're current date en time wich will be stored in
  11. the "S:dc.sav" file. It's just 4 bytes, so don't worry about any space lost.
  12. It has some usefull options like executing a file when the program encounters
  13. a bad date.

  16. Syntax :
  17.  
  18. Datecheck [-x [Filename]] [-dxxx]
  19.  
  20. Where :
  21. -x,   means you want to execute an executable when a bad date occurs.
  22.       This is "Sys:Prefs/Time" by default, wich is a part of you're
  23.       workbench 3.0+. (Don't know about 2.x)
  24.       If you specify a filename after "-x", the filename will be
  25.       executed if exists, or else the default will be executed.
  26.       The filename must not begin with a "-", or it will be seen as a
  27.       option.
  28. -dxxx, xxx is the number of days that the difference may be, before
  29.       there is on bad date. xxx must be between 0 - 1000 days. Remember
  30.       if you specify 1 day and you don't startup you're computer for 24h
  31.       it will automatically say there is a bad date, while it is still ok.
  32.       Default is 7 days.

  35. Installation
  36. Just copy it to you're C: dir. And edit you're startup with you're favourite
  37. texteditor (I really recommened Blacks Editor from Marco Negri) and add
  38. something like Datecheck -x if you have OS3.x or else Datecheck -x timeset,
  39. where timeset is you're favourite timesetting program.

  43. - v1.0         : Written in Blitz, first version without any args.
  44. - v1.1 - v1.4  : Can't remember ;)
  45. - v1.5         : Last version in blitz. Had everything it has now.
  46.                  Exe was 19k.
  47. - v2.0         : Complete rewrite in C. No args. Exe was 9k.
  48. - v2.12        : Included args. Exe is almost 11k. First release.

  58. I'm not responsible for any data-loss or whatever occurs when you're using
  59. datecheck. Although I'm pretty sure nothing can go wrong. Unless you do
  60. something stupid with the -x option. Like "-x formatall" or something like
  61. that ;)
